Emilia Romagna is considered the quintessential Foodies’ Region of Italy. What about visiting it with a food&wine writer and journalist??
Each location on this tour is famous for a unique food specialty.
We start in Cremona, a city in Lombardy separated from Emilia Romagna by only the Po River, and famous for its Torrone and Mostarda. Next we go to Polesine Parmense, sample Culatello, which is considered the king of fine cured meats in Italy, and then enjoy several tastings from underground wine cellar discoveries.
Of course we won’t miss out on other phenomenally delicious products, such as Parmigiano Reggiano, looking at the cheese making process; the Prosciutto di Parma, eating it fresh sliced inside its aging rooml and the incredibly tasty Traditional Balsamic Vinegar! All small producers, all friends, all personal experiences!
We will end the tour in the cultural city of Bologna. Among the beautiful historic walking tours, we will enjoy Bologna’s famous tortellini in brodo and the tagliatelle with Bolognese Ragù!
